Engine is being rebuild. It was running fine, but after 1 year without running the compression was gone. The pistonrings was worn og valves soty! I got the head and cylinders glassblasted and painted with thermopaint.

The engine was got:

- New clutchkit
- New piston rings (825ccm)
- Head lapped valves
- New camchain
- Complete gasket kit

good luck with it! I have a 77 XS750 Standard.. I love the bike.. if you have any questions or need any help feel free to ask!

So now it starts looking like a bike again. Got the engine back in the newly powdercoated frame! Just love to mount renovated new parts!

I straight fit since I haven't done any modifing to the frame there!
Need to change the steeringstem bearings..

The engine was got a bit of an overhaul.

First i started tear the carburettors apart. 3 Hitachis with a lot of dirt og rust to be taken care of.
I bought a repairkit on Ebay including new needles, pilot main and choke nozzles, gaskets etc. I wanted the carbs to look and function as they did back in the days! When taking the carbs apart, be really carefull when dismantling the floatvalve etc.
