hello dudes,

i am going to cook this SR400 to a cafe racer shortly with a benelli gas tank,

Very nice! Where are you? SR400 was never sold here in North America sadly. Just the SR500 for a handful of years up to the late 70's. Luckily I've got one waiting for me in my garage

the plan is to make it look like this

The thing is the benelli gas tank is not right fit with SR frame, because the gas tank is hit with the oil filler neck, otherwise the gas tank is a bit far back vs where it should be as my plan,

and yes, the tank was not really fit, should have some modification...

I decided to make some mod to the gas tank so it can fit with the oil filler neck. Look at the picture, it's a bad mod, the tank looks really ugly now, ;D

2 front lugs and 1 rear end lug added, just to make sure that the tank is really retained to the frame

It looks better now,
