Happy New Year Guys,

Here's a tiny little Yamaha RX125 that a mate and I finished. Neat little bike just for cruising around the city.

I've also got a list of all the bits and pieces I used https://www.buildboard.app/showcase/rx125scrambler

Cheers

Cheers Mark. Yes love riding this little thing around, or maybe it's just the smell of the 2-stroke that makes it so enjoyable :)

Thanks very much. Will need to take some more shots have a lot of crappy camera phone shots.

The battery is a little 6V under the seat.

Hey Mark,

I just used one of those smaller Lead Sealed rechargeable batteries that they use in kids toys and alarm systems. Not the exact model but something similar http://dicksmith.com.au/product/S6402/sealed-battery-lead-acid-6v-4-0ah Am running all LED except for the headlight.

Cheers
Ben

wow you found 6V LED too? We need a build thread on that baby, I'm going to make you my electrics guru. I ended up running an old triumph brakelight and found a 6V tractor utility light for the headlamp. Thanks for the link!

This is beautiful in all it's simplicity very well done..I hope my little KV turns out as well as this did.

Super - love the bike - custom rx parts seem hard too come by - have you got any recommendations on where I should go looking for seats, fenders etc.

Love the scrambler look.

Cheers.

Thanks mate have always loved scramblers,

Yeah we made all of our own custom bits, like the seat and oil tank, batterbox and a few other things. We also chopped the rear fender to suit.

You might find that custom parts off other yamahas may fit. But it's hard to tell when you're buying stuff online.
