Yamaha XS 500 (and other) frame measurments wanted...

Been Around the Block
Cheers All,

I've been working on a seat for my XS 360/400 and it is nearing completion. Since others have showed a bit of interest in picking one up when I make more from the mold, I'm trying to educate myself on what other bikes it will fit, and what mods may need to be made on them.

The seat is made to match the tanks from the '76-'78 XS 360/400/500, and I have done all the fitting work on a '77 400 (which is the same frame as the 360). The seat build can be found HERE .

These are two of the bikes I would like to get measurements from...

I know the 1978 XS500 has slightly different standing handles, but the rest of the frame looks the same as the '76-77 from what I can tell from the microfiche drawings. That said, I've seen these tanks on a number of different bikes and measurements from any frame that might want to be covered with one of my seats would be welcome, and appreciated! Photos could also be a big help.

Many thanks for anyone that can help me out with these measurements!

Cheers,
-Jeff
