Yes, have someone else do it. Seriously, the pictures don't show the tiger striping and the little imperfections that are in the paint. For the cost I would still would've had it done professionally. I just couldn't afford it. There was an article by a gentleman about painting his sportster. He outlined everything you needed to do to get a proper paint job. I will post a link when i find it.

Finally got the engine and braking buttoned up. ;D It took since Feb. to get it all assembled but here it is.

The List:

555cc overbore for 500cc.
Ported and polished head.
Drilled exhaust.
Jetted Carbs.
Dual Disc front end conversion.

O-Ring chain.

Master cylinder upgrade.
Redwing Shocks with Progressive Springs.

Still to do:
Cafe' Seat.
LED tail light.
Turn Signals.
Mirrors.
Fix that pesky exhaust leak.


At least my wifes sportster has a stablemate now.
