what, me worry?
ive been taking foundry classes for a little bit now, and I'm thinking of making some DTT belt buckles and tank badges, and maybe some custom work if the price is right. Just figured id ask to see who would be interested, i'll be mainly working with Bronze and aluminum, and i can do cool things with patinas. I'll more than likely be making a prototype in the next week or two, it will be casted bronze, then i will use liver of sulfur for a dark flat black look, then hit all the high areas with a wire brush and sandpaper to bring back the gold color. The design I'm thinking of will be our club logo, i'll more than likely take out the checker board and change the font, and make the spade solid. prices wouldnt be too bad, i could prolly start quoting- the more people into it, the cheaper i prolly can go. im actually kind of excited about this....

im really suprised no one wants custom work done, filler caps, tank badges... im really suprised.

well, i guess only a few of us will have awesome belt buckles!
 
I DOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! man i did this in HS for a week in shop class... was cool as hell! made some stupid monkey metal thing... i would love some raw metal work on my bobber build man!!!
YOU KNOW ME! I LOVE CUSTOM PARTS!!!! a gas cap would be cool but i think some wicked fender supports or tank badges would be cool as well... man i can nt belive i did not see this post before!
 
I'm all over this - might want to somehow incorporate one of the peices into my bike too. Count me in for a few of them, depending on of course the cost :)
 
depending on the cost, i might need a new belt buckle, got me a new gun belt and i dont like the belt buckle it looks too clean/fancy :)
 
ya fender supports, pegs, engine mounts, some tank badges, triple tree stuff, headlight ears, and on and on

make somethin up, show us a pic for some more inspiration! :)
 
I'm in too. Belt buckle, tank badges, go for it. Personally I'd like a set of pilot wings with the Ace of Spades in the middle for my jacket.

but count me in.. Id up for a belt buckle and some tank badges.

i just got around to cutting the clay, and i was going to print out the image, lay it on top and then cut out from there.... please do send it, it would be easier than me masking it in illustrator... give me a week and i will have the clay part ready to make a smooth on and mother mold for wax! :D
