Your Build on The Bike Shed

Hi to all.

I'm a lifelong bike owner, into the cafe / brat / scrambler custom scene, and as well as spending all my hard earned cash on my own bikes, on the side I have a little website/online magazine called The Bike Shed. The site is a co-op, co-founded by me, bike builders Tim & Kev from Spirit of the Seventies, Adam from Untitled Motorcycles and Barry, Bike-mag Art Director and blogger at Motorcycle Deluxe.

As well as showcasing builds from Untitled and Spirit my real passion is featuring shed/garage/home builds put together by amateurs, sometimes with some pro assistance, but always with their own vision, blood, sweat, tears, ...and arguments with the wife / bank manager (delete as appropriate)...

We've carved a bit of a niche for ourselves in this online space and the builds are rolling in at between 1 and 3 a week, and many are good enough - and well enough photographed - to feature on the site along side pro builds from Kevils, Steel Bent Customs, Garage Project Motorcycles, Cafe Racer Dreams, Made In Metal, Spirit, UMC, etc...

So this post is a shout out to all of you who think your build is as good as the rest, plus you have some decent, hi-ish resolution photos to share. (We display at 700 pixels wide).

I could go on some more, but stop reading this boring text and check out the main invite page on the Bike Shed that asks people to contribute, and HERE is a re-sorted webpage showing only ShedBuilds as a category, so you can see how we roll...

If you can't be bothered to click the hotlinks above, here are a few recent Shed Builds from our archive...

Off topic, but I just opened your FB page and realized we had a conversation about Lances, tools and knives earlier today.

To the OP - nice site, added it to my daily read bookmarks.

LOL. Glad you like the site. We post about 3 new builds every week; mostly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10am and midday UK time.

There's one new bike a day this week on the website, and more on Facebook.
