Are you referring to the black rubber pieces the carbs bolt on to? Not sure if those are referred as the manifolds or the actual mounting points on the head.

Thank you! And yeah I wouldn't doubt that they aren't I had the carbs disassembled into pieces for clean up. New throttle cable and everything, So I'm sure I need to resync them. I'm going to try to finish up the seat and tank and get it on the road, then I'll start tuning up the engine and...

I believe I have the air mix screw at 1 1/2 turn now. I took it out to 3 i believe and it didn't do anything noticeable. When I twist the throttle, it'll stay at high rpm for a few seconds and then drop. I don't have a tach, but if I was to guess i'd say around 3k or so. Also the only way it'll...

Yeah the exhaust definitely gets hot. It has good pressure in high RPM. I swapped the pilot jets on the carbs, and it was the same result, so I guess it's not the pilot jet. I also messed with the air mixture screw and it didn't really do anything. I'm not sure what else is left. Timing? Just...

So I put the factory filters on, and started her up. It starts up pretty quickly pretty often, every once in a while it needs a few kicks. But, here's my issue; seems like the right cylinder is not as powerful as the left, but I think it might be a carb issue. Below is a video, if you guys...

Thanks for the tip. I've ordered stuff from DK before. I'll check on there to see if they have the jet. Are most CV jets usually universal or do they go by make and model?

Sweet, thank you! I'll see if I can find some pods for it!

155 before the start up. I'll test it again after running it for a bit to seat the rings.

Thank you! Really means alot. And I agree, I tested my own patience with this build. But all I want now is for it to be done. But I keep getting busy with other stuff so it keeps getting pushed back.

Alec, I do not have the rubbers, but I won't be using the factory 450 mounting points because they don't line up. I'm going to have to drill and tap mounting holes. Bruno, I have 150 main jets (145 stock). I am planning on buying pods, just haven't gotten a chance yet. I just wanted to start...

Oh I don't mind helping at all! After all, I had to ask others as well :). What I pretty much did was I do one wire at a time, and use zip ties to route them around. Start out with the charging system first. Get the rectifier, stator, and regulator wired up. Then from the main feed, wire one...

Here's the video of the first start up. No pods or filters, straight carbs. Won't hold idle, so I need to put some pods on and figure out the issue. Any advice is appreciated. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tw6bZE6z3o

Are you rewiring like original? Keeping all your electronics? Have you looked at a wiring diagram?

What would you like to know? I just ran each cable one at a time, then zip tied them together separating the routes, then sleeving. Btw I cranked her up today. I'll post a video tomorrow.
