Thank pj. Popped the bubble to stop it from expanding. Now I need to look for a clear epoxy resistant to gasoline. Anybody have a brand you feel is good or better than others? thanks

I just noticed yesterday when filling up the gas tank that the paint around the filler hole of the gas tank is bubbling a bit. More specifically, i guess it's not the paint, it's the clear, the paint underneath looks to be ok. I don't remember spilling anything last time i filled up (nov 11)...

You should check the battery voltage before your next ride, immediately after your ride, then again before your ride after that. This will tell you if your battery is charging properly during operation or if there is a draw while off. Did you test the diodes in the r/r?

I've used metal strapping. Cheap and works well.

Could it be that something is drawing while the battery is off? Could be at the ignition.

The tank looks more like a 'C' than the K or F. Also, i believe the 750c is still a 5 speed whereas the 900 is a 10(strange). Sorry to throw a wrench into things but my money is on Custom. Does it not say on the sticker?

I've seen tons of them at army surplus shops, pretty cheap too. I was thinking of mounting using a couple of L shaped brackets and bolting them up underneat (thanks for the suggestion erch). Midnightcafe, keep me posted on what you come up with to mount. Are you going to mount them that low?

I'm looking for some used saddlebags for longer trips and came across some pictures of people mounting up old ammunition boxes. Anybody try this? I dig the look. Alternatively, anybody out there have bags they aren't using? Or, any recommendations? Something vintage-looking.

For the rotor, did you measure the resistance at the connector or between the slip rings? Did you clean the rings? Are your rotor brushes making good contact, or are they worn out? My rotor was slightly out of spec, just a little low, so I replaced it with an aftermarket one (after also...
