Did you ever figure this out? I'm looking for one myself. I'm thinking a 13/16 right hand petcock made for Harley will work. This is the closest thing I have found without having to add adapter nuts to a 1/4 inch petcock.
I had the same problem with my 78 550. They used a lube to keep the pad from giggling around. All you have to do is blow compressed air into the caliper to blow out the pad. This takes a little time but it will work. If you knock the other side around a little bit the pad should fall out.
Some of you might not like this, but I want to sub my laced wheels for some mag wheels.
Do any of you know what wheels will fit my 78 cb 550?
For all I know they need to fit my rear drum brakes and front brake rotor?
