hey man, i have a '77 GS750 and just recently built a new wiring harness from scratch. I have a lot of pictures of the process and some drawings of my designed harness. I have a modern R/R, deleted the old redundant wiring, went to LED lights/electronic relay and changed up the way everything...
Re: '77 GS750B, "Hahn" Black Borranis
Hey Brodie, this thing is looking great. I need to get some more pictures and info up about my 77 GS750 build. Looks like a lot of the stuff you did and plan on doing are the same as what I have done. Let me know if you need any parts - I have a ton of...
I ended up cutting the stock passenger pegs, that I hacked off the frame, and welding them right to the rear sub frame. Its only temporary, so they dont look pretty. But at least she can go on some rides with me before the snow flies. Sure beats her resting her feet on the backs of my legs -...
Those are very similar to what I plan to make. They sell something like this at DimeCity, but i dont really like the design. I will start a thread when I get to building them.
Thanks Brodie. Those old passenger pegs were really ugly - I am trying to make the rear end as clean and simple as possible. I am going to make a set of removable passenger pegs soon.
a local guy in Buffalo, NY. I supplied the seat pan and he did the upholstery. Was very reasonably priced at 100 bucks and i think it turned out great.
thanks! I cut and bent the seat pan out of aluminum and had a local guy (buffalo, ny) do the upholstery. He used a marine grade vinyl. He did a great job, and was way cheap too.
Thanks SONIC! I have it jetted for the pods and the unrestricted exhaust right now, so I might just leave it. But I was thinking of getting a shorty pipe from cone engineering.
Re: '77 GS750B, "Hahn" Stuck engine.
Good to see another GS750 on here. I will definitely be keeping an eye on your build. I am a couple months away from pulling the engine on mine. Check out my build thread.
I am going to try to put together a new thread or blog that shows all the aspects of my build in better order and detail. I have been working on it for over a year (not done yet) and have done an okay job of documenting the progress and pitfalls with my camera - gotta love your iphone.
