Anyone have a good step by step to do this? any pictures would be really helpful.
I'm trying to fig it out using my Clymer and I'm pretty much stuck now that i have removed the rubber boot. I don't know how to remove any of the other washers or piston.
After driving this afternoon and having it stall out on me repeatedly I think it is a fuel delivery issue b/c one of the filters has pinched off and is not getting gas to one cylinder. I was running vacuum line but went and got some actual fuel line.
Does the type of line use effect fuel...
I'll give that test a try. I had a problem at one point with the engine running weak if the tank is less than half full so now i just keep it pretty full to avoid this problem. What was your suggestion to fix this problem?
I was using filters with a bronze element. I got some new fuel line but am waiting on some other parts before i go to work on this project.
What is venting?
I rebuilt the petcock so I know its getting good flow and the lines have recently been replaced but the routing was giving me some trouble. I couldn't figure out how to mount them with the filters on and keep the filters from melting slightly due to engine heat.

I'm still not sure if whether its stopping or slowing...
Does anyone have any pointers on Disc Brake Maintenance for a 72 cb 450? My front ones are rubbing together making an awful squeak and slowing me down ;)
Where should I start? What should I look for? What should I replace?
Word.
My front disc brakes seem to be partially engaged all the time and i'm wondering if its doing damage to the disc itself or if its just wearing on the pads.
Anyone have any tips about disc brake maintance?

Eddie, I was getting intermittent spark from one of my coils so i went ahead and got some new dynatek coils. I've got to make a new mounting bracket for...
Thanks guys,
I ended up going with the dynatek coils from z1 enterprises. They should be here on friday so we'll see how they work out. I know im going to have to mod the bracket but i can't weld so that should be interesting.
Any outside of the box ideas about mounting these without welding...
I just got a 1972 cb450 a month ago. Its my first motorcycle and its my first time working with an engine of any sort so trail and error is my method of choice.
I've got to running now but after it starts one cylinder doesn't fir anymore. I'm guessing i should replace the coils since it has...
