A new design for custom cast tank emblems

As the title states, I'm working on a new design for custom tank emblems. I want to make a permanent mold for these out of aluminum and then cast the emblems in pewter. A permanent mold would allow me to produce these much faster and they would need much less finishing work, but making a...

    Replacing stock reflectors

I've actually considered making cast aluminum pieces to replace the stock reflectors on a few of the CB's I've got here... I thought a highly polished "rising sun" would be kind of cool... maybe just a "domed" aluminum cap... something else? I'd have to work out patterns and see how much...

    Love or Hate

I get what you were going for here, and I like the concept... but I too think that the rest of the bike is too nice. Replace all the other shiny, flashy bits with filthy dirty, rusty, beat up bits and it'll all flow together... otherwise paint it :) A funky 2 tone design loosely based on what...

anyone seen a headlight with two mounting bolts on the bottom

That's an odd headlight... I've never seen one like it (maybe I need to get out more? ) You might have to modify the bracket or fabricate a new one to be able to utilize a more "regular" headlight (bottom mount?), or run with the one you've got... how picky are they about illegal headlights in...

Sounds great! I think you'd like these much better... as a matter of fact, you need them... and I'm not biased at all ;D Seriously now, it's all up to you to decide and whatever you decide is all good. Sleep on it, no worries.

CB/CL/SL 350 Finned points and tach covers

Thanks again for the order Erik, it's much appreciated. Gregajo, prices are for the pair including stainless steel screws and shipping in the contiguous US. Here's some pics of typical "as cast" covers: In gates cut off, sanded and feathered out: I polish these covers with...

CB/CL/SL 350 Finned points and tach covers

These are brand new, sand cast aluminum finned points and tach (cam) covers for 1970's Honda 350 twins, I believe they will fit CB250's as well. I've been selling these regularly on ebay for anywhere between $99 and $140 + shipping and have gotten nothing but great feedback from my sales there...

    1980 CB750k Brake Caliper Piston

I would assume the used caliper contains a piston... if you're having so much trouble finding just the piston, why not buy a complete, used caliper for $25?... Just saying ;)

    Are you kidding me?

Not mine, but maybe I should start building bikes for resale... you guys too, I've seen better bikes than this on DTT... I mean this one's nice, but I don't think it's that special... unreal...

Buy it now disappears with the first bid... I know that's enough dough, but I've got a considerable amount of time into each pair of...

    cb450 racing green?

I thought you might like it ;D Gold colored metal flake, no "texture". It's been quite a few years since I did this, but if I remember right I got a quart, picked it up at Carquest. Wasn't cheap, but not too crazy expensive, and it's a very good paint. It was a 2 part paint/hardener, some...

    cb450 racing green?

I don't know if you'd be interested in this, but just in case... This is a 1970 Donny Brooke green... I believe it was a stock Corvette color back in the day. I used PPG paint, but there may be others...
