I've got a 79 CB750 that's mostly stock except for GSXR carbs, 4 into 1 header, and cbr600 coils. I started having issues with no fire on cylinder 4 after a few rides. The bike ran great for a while but the misfire issue slowly got worse. Spark is good, I'm getting fuel but compression on...
Is anybody good at identifying old Mikuni carbs? I found a decent deal on Facebook for these but I'd like to have an idea of what they came off of before picking them up.
Thanks man! I wire brushed some of the paint off for a better look. It makes no sense to me what happened here.
I'll have to give that Devcon a try. Hopefully that'll keep me from having to pull the engine again. If all else fails it looks like I can pick up a used jug on eBay.
Now that you say that it kind of does look like a weld. I'm assuming that line isn't normally there? It's not on the opposite side. I've pressed on it with a screwdriver and it seems solid.
