Hey all, first I’d like to say thanks for all of the info you all have posted on this site. I’ve been able to search the site and get great advice since the start of my cb750 build.

Hi everyone,
1981 Cb750c completely custom build with an m-unit blue, etc...
Bike runs great except the fact that the reg/rec isn't wired in properly. I understand that red/white wire is positive and the green wire is negative but what should the black wire connect to?

Putting my bike back together, when trying to time this timing chain on my 1981 CB750, what do these tick marks need to be aligned with? On every other year it is pretty straight forward but I haven't been able to find any resources on this particular engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, thank you everyone. I didn't realize I would get so many replies. After looking over it, I think the safest route (for my first project) is to keep the original top yoke and go for the ace bars for the riding style. I don't really want to mess with wires this soon in the game.
Again...
First but not last post here. I just bought a 1981 CB750 and want to do a little work to it to make it a cafe racer. The first issue I have run into is with the handlebars. I want clip-ons, however it is set up for bars. AND to make things worse, the fuse box is in the top triple tree and I just...
