Re: Same old song. CB500t mods advice
Hey Blake and Swagger. I've got the same bike. Haha.
Blake, I put K&N pods on mine and didn't really feel like I needed to do any re-jetting. I have to warn you though, the pods that K&N lists for the bike don't fit so I had to do some trial and error...
These jackets are frickin' sweet. Do they provide any protection (like, are they legit motorcycle jackets that use thick leather) or are they purely some NYC fashion items? If anyone has had one, I'd like to know, because I'd be interested in one of their cafe jackets.
Thanks Chrisf and Uniac, I actually just checked and it looks like I could probably do both the stick and the tig welding. 7 hrs of welding a day might be pushing it though. Haha.

Rich, thanks for the advice. I figured I'd have to re-jet the dang thing when I put the K&N's on. Funny thing, its running really rich right now for some reason I haven't yet discovered. So, I'm thinking the new air filters will probably help until I get the carbs squared away with. Haha.
As...
OMG man!!! I just registered for this site and have been looking around. That is seriously one of the prettiest, most bad-@$$ bikes I've ever seen. Seriously, awesome job with everything.
Hello everyone. I'm trying to set up a CB500t as a cafe racer. Has clubman bars and I'm putting K&N air filters on it as soon as they arrive (so, I had to remove the strange airbox system). Eventually I'm looking to get a fiberglass cafe seat, re-paint the tank and seat, remove the rear fender...
