    CB450 First build- Dallas, TX

Here is the underside of the tank. It looks like it fits just like a normal petcock would. Ive just never worked with a vacuum fed system and i figured i should get some extra opinion!

    Budget 78 GS550 - Giselle (SOLD)

Re: Budget 78 GS550 - Giselle Your bike looks so sick considering how much money you put into it! Where did you hide the master cylinder for the rear brakes?

    CB450 First build- Dallas, TX

The tank actually had a big dent on the right side. I ended up selling the tank to a scrap yard guy for the cb350f tank in the top picture. The 350f tank had a smaller dent that I fixed with bondo. The ears I sold on ebay along with some other stuff. But i do have a box of stock parts...

Oh nice! I need to finish this one and get a few more bikes in my arsenal haha I just picked up a cb360 swing arm with the brake stay and chain adjusters on ebay for $40 shipped 8) So when you were running the 360 swing arm on the 450, did you get longer suspension to raise the rear end? I...

    CB450 First build- Dallas, TX

Wow. Thanks for the info. Definitely something that I wanted to do, I just didn't know which swing arm would bolt on with minimal modifications. So if I was to bolt up a cb360 swing arm, I would only need to drill out a bigger hole for the axle in the slots and possibly linkage for the brakes...

    CB450 First build- Dallas, TX

Re: CB450 First build- Dallas, TX: SUSPENSION QUESTION Question about rear suspension... Does anyone know the stock length of the rear shocks on the cb450's? I need to get some more clearance in the back end, so if i upgraded to 13" shocks would I have to make any changes to the swing arm?

Re: CB450 First build- College Kid from TX Thanks man. That's actually a picture of it before I laid it over. Last week I stripped the thing down to the frame and im going to get to work on the top end once my gasket set and piston rings come in. Here's what I've got so far...

    CB450 First build- Dallas, TX

Just to start, this is the first bike Ive ever done. I don't have a lot of experience building bikes but I have a knack for these sort of things and Im pumped to get this thing rollin! Ive been watching a lot of other builds on here over the past year and i figured it was time to start my own...

    First Cafe project (CB450)

Quick question... When you put your new suspension on the rear, did you have to make any modifications to the swing arm? Im about to buy longer suspension for my cb450 (im trying to get about an inch of lift in the back) and Ive seen a few people who had to make modifications to their swing arm.
