ok! cut the brake backing into a big hunk o' steel...
welded it up...
fitted it to the fork using existing mounting points...
made it pretty and bolted it on....
and hey presto! i can actually stop!!!

the seat cover is made from the tanned, cured and dyed hide of the rare western Nauga :)
it's glued onto the seat... not a fancy set up at all!

so it was a C4, the small one...
i cut some thick rubber that was from a truck bedliner to fill out the inside angle of the frame along where the seat was... this supports the outside edge of the seat...

The seat is off the rack... got it from airtech streamlining. I THINK it's the small cutlass C4, but I guess it might be the large cutlass C1... but there are measurements on their website so you'll be able tell which one is right just by quickly measuring which...

nice work so far! i used one of those athena gasket sets on my rebuild and i also used those 1st over sirius pistons and they worked great! you always wonder when the stuff is inexpensive if it's gonna be ok, but no problems here with either of those choices.
i dunno who mr. e is, but these are all pretty pimp... (cb400 same size 33mm)

Anyone know where I can find a pre-1980 Honda parts list online anymore? Until recently you could get the parts lists for the older models from any old honda dealer website, but now the lists all seem to stop at 1980 for the ones I usually hit up...

thinking not... the only cb250's i can find seem to have 31mm forks so if you're reusing the 350 forks you'd need triples that are 33mm. cb360 triples work also. and if you're searching ebay don't forget that SL and CL 350's will have the same triples (except for the early ones with bolts on the...

hmmm... hadn't thought of tapping the hub. although there's a cover on the opposite side that's held on by the 4 rotor bolts that go all the way through the hub... i guess i could find a different way to attach it. wouldn't be much hub left... the bolt circle on the new...
