Yep, the hand ground tool did pretty good.

I actually ground a tool to clean up the back side of the bellmouth. Even if they aren't seen I'll know if I don't clean it up.

Pods right on the carb never give the best performance. Stacks can work great, but aren't the best for street riding. Stock airbox tends to be best unless you have done a lot of modifications. I figure keeping the stacks very similar to stock with a decent filter will give me the best...

Yeah, I've got an end piece for the back of the filter as well. Hopefully it'll work as nice as it looks. I just finished the other 2 stacks for it. Still a little clean up to do and add mounts.

While I wait on parts I'm working on the intake. Stacks are copied from the stock airbox rubbers. Filter is from walker engineering for a micro sprint.

Rims and spokes are ordered. Going to run wm2x18 front and wm3x18 rear. Now I have to quit putting off spraying the hubs with cerakote. But I'll be able to decide kickstand placement and figure out foot controls.

Yeah. I'll wait until I have it on wheels with foot controls set up to decide. 4-4 might be tight on space, while 4-2 might be easy. I just know I need to think about it.

This is the only cb750 powered featherbed I found searching on google. I think the 4-4 doesn't look out of place. I do think a 4-1 wouldn't look right.

I'm probably going to do a central tank. A lot of them mount with a single long bolt at the rear, and rubber bands at the front. I'll make my own so I can size the fittings properly for the CB engine vs adapting to the british lines. Battery is getting tucked behind the engine. Fuse box...

I'm debating how I want to do the exhaust on this. I have 3 options, 4-4, 4-2, or 4-1. Off the shelf isn't going to work since it's not in the stock frame. 4-1 is tempting just because it'll cost less, mufflers are spendy. 4-2 would look more balanced and easier to make headers for. But...

Worked out a head steady and made it permanent now that I know how much room I have with the tank.

Tank made it's journey safely. Gotta give a thumbs up for TAB classics for an amazing tank.

In preparation for my tank to get here tomorrow I re-mounted the engine with the head, valve cover and carbs mounted. It's tight, but I don't think there willbe any clearance problems.

They seem like a great group of people, and it's amazing how much goes into each tank. Not many shops like that left.

It's going to look great on the bike. It'll be hard to make an oil tank that won't be ugly in comparison.
