Rims and spokes are ordered. Going to run wm2x18 front and wm3x18 rear. Now I have to quit putting off spraying the hubs with cerakote. But I'll be able to decide kickstand placement and figure out foot controls.

Yeah. I'll wait until I have it on wheels with foot controls set up to decide. 4-4 might be tight on space, while 4-2 might be easy. I just know I need to think about it.

This is the only cb750 powered featherbed I found searching on google. I think the 4-4 doesn't look out of place. I do think a 4-1 wouldn't look right.

I'm probably going to do a central tank. A lot of them mount with a single long bolt at the rear, and rubber bands at the front. I'll make my own so I can size the fittings properly for the CB engine vs adapting to the british lines. Battery is getting tucked behind the engine. Fuse box...

I'm debating how I want to do the exhaust on this. I have 3 options, 4-4, 4-2, or 4-1. Off the shelf isn't going to work since it's not in the stock frame. 4-1 is tempting just because it'll cost less, mufflers are spendy. 4-2 would look more balanced and easier to make headers for. But...

Worked out a head steady and made it permanent now that I know how much room I have with the tank.

Tank made it's journey safely. Gotta give a thumbs up for TAB classics for an amazing tank.

In preparation for my tank to get here tomorrow I re-mounted the engine with the head, valve cover and carbs mounted. It's tight, but I don't think there willbe any clearance problems.

They seem like a great group of people, and it's amazing how much goes into each tank. Not many shops like that left.

It's going to look great on the bike. It'll be hard to make an oil tank that won't be ugly in comparison.

Hand made by Tab classics. I couldn't make something that nice in any reasonable time frame. For the craftsmanship I feel the price was reasonable.

I got the email this morning, my tank is finished. Now I get to waitwhile it travels from the UK to the US.

Thanks! I like using stuff like foam board and MDF that's the same thickness as the metal I plan to use. I feel it gives me an accurate template to work with.

Got some cheap shocks to act as a place holder until I'm ready to buy good shocks. I mainly wanted to verify chain clearance and have something better than zipties to hold the swingarm up. Plus once I get spokes and rims it'll let me set the kickstand and sit on the bike to decide footpeg...

Slow updates, but work is progressing. Ordered the mini manx tank from TAB classics. They have a 4-6 week lead time, which is why I ordered well before I'll need it. Add in shipping time from the UK and needing to add a mount for the hold down strap I thought better to order before I'm...
