Got some goodies in today that I will try to get on tomorrow. The battery box will help me figure out my rear fender and the other bits in the rear. Welded on the seat hoop yesterday and still need to smooth out the welds a little. Brought some pieces to the machinist to get made like a new...
Got the rear set brackets welded up. The peg position is about an inch or so below the swing arm mount 8” aft of the stock pegs. Trying to figure out what to do with all the space on the brackets. I may try to drill some design in them but we’ll see. I ordered our exhaust from 4to1 today. I...
Yea that seems to be the issue unfortunately. I may have to get different shocks because the spring is too low.
So I can’t flip the sprocket because it has the grove on the back for the hub studs. I forgot about that. Then i swapped to the old sprocket but it’s for 530 chain not 520. Forgot...
Well it’s tough to say right now. The rear wheel is hanging free and there’s no swing arm bushings in so there’s play everywhere. It appears to be in line so I’ll run the chain and see first before I flip the sprocket. The sprocket shoulder is really only an 1/8” so it’s not big.
So I mounted the rear wheel and I’m having a chain/sprocket to shock clearance issue. I have the 520 sprocket kit that is the 17t front and the larger 40t rear sprockets. When I put the end of the chain on the sprocket it is hitting the yss shock. I noticed the sprocket has a shoulder on the...
So I did some work on the bike today. Put the clip ons on the forks and mounted the break and clutch levers and the two switches. Threw the yss rear shocks on to hold the swing arm in place. From there I mounted the engine into the frame which was a total PItA. Reason was is because I’m using a...
Hello again everyone!
Well due to the virus our sailboat is in in the Bahamas and we can’t fly back to her. That said I’ve got some time to try to get the project back on the table to hopefully get it put together. I’m having a hard time remembering exactly where I left off and unpacking totes...
Hey friends,
Not sure if you have seen this or not, but this couple sold their sailboat to travel Europe in a Ural with a sidecar. I followed them during their sailing adventures and since this steps into my other realm of life, I wanted to share with you folks.
Check them out...
