I got my plates and insurance finally!! I took her on her maiden voyage out to some near-beach country roads, only broke down once! It felt so good to finally be riding the machine I tore apart and put back together to my liking after staring at it all day everyday...

For those interested, the work I've done on it over the past month includes:
-sanding the tank down to the metal and doing a custom cb360-inspired variegated gold leaf design
-chopping the ass off the frame and welding on a hoop
-bobbed back fender
-k&n filters
-new (salvaged and rebuilt) master...

I haven't kept up with the documenting the building of this bike, but I figured I'd throw up some "after" pictures so everyone could see what I ended up doing with the bike. I got all of pieces in place and put back together about a week ago, but found out that one...
Today is my 21st birthday so I figured I'd buy some good beer to make the work go by more smoothly ;) I got the engine out, finished the tank, power-washed the frame and engine and ordered some more parts. Next week is going to be like christmas!
The last two days have been full of deconstruction, parts ordering, and painting. Everything connected to the engine except for the chain guard have been taken off (because the screws didn't want to budge and I don't want to deal with it until tomorrow haha). Tomorrow I'm going to pb blast them...
