    Air Tech Seats?

I've ordered from both and I have to say that they both seem comparable. The Roc City fiberglass seems a bit thicker and the finish is more conducive for good paint adhesion. The customer service is very good at RC. I believe RC will also tweak some of the specs of the seat if needed.

    1974 CB550: Project Doppleganger: E3MC NYC Build #002

Nice work. I live on Long Island and am looking for someone to rebuild the engine on my CB400F. I need the top half refreshed and the paint work done to it. Can you recommend someone in the NY area who might be up for the task?

    1974 CB 360 ~ Project "37"

Yea Kev. That's exactly what I mean. Someone else suggested it to me when I had the 550 tank but I really didn't think that I could do an acceptable job so I scrapped the idea. I just loved the way that tank looked. Good luck with it. Doug

    1974 CB 360 ~ Project "37"

Hi Heck. I dont know what the underside of the CB360 tank looks like but depending on how low the tank sits on the frame and where the coils are there might be some clearance issues. I picked up the same tank back in the spring of last year and realized that the 550 tank didn't have anywhere...

    Can you identify these Koni's?

Hi all! I just took delivery on a beautiful set of Koni's for my CB400F project. I cant seem to find a model number on them. Does anyone know what load rating shock springs these are? The springs are shown in the pic, black w/green dab. I tried to compress these down with all 210lbs of me...

    76' CB400F-SS frame up restoration(Cafe Racer)

Thanks for the complement. Life has gotten in the way of this project so I've decided to drop the deadline and work on it when I can. I've amassed most of the parts I need for completion so its a matter of painting, engine work and assembly. There just aren't enough hours in the day.

    Cylinder head rebuilding service needed.

Its for my CB400F. The head looks like its in decent condition so it could probably just use a freshening up. Good cleaning, lapping, new valve seals, stuff like that. I dont think any machining would be required. I'll post pics when I get the chance.

Painting frame and rims - Rattlecan?

The VHT Epoxy paint seems to work the best. I cant say too much about it other than it holds up better than some other finishes I used. The gloss black is not a high gloss finish. If you put the satin and gloss black side by side, there isn't a drastic difference. The durability of the...

Does anyone know where I can buy frame tube brackets. I had seen a set up on someones bike here where they used the frame brackets to mount the rear-sets. I cant seem to find the picture either. Help!

Painting frame and rims - Rattlecan?

Depends on what the rims look like. If there is pitting in the chrome then you need to surface them nice and smooth. If its just a matter of roughing up the surface to get ready for paint, then a good 120 or 240 should suffice. Dont forget that the chrome layer is hard but very thin. Dont go...

    Engine Cleaning/Painting Prep

I just went to Dicks and bought a few sizes of wire brushes. I had an old cleaning rod that I cut down and use it as a drill mandrel. The copper brushes are soft enough not to damage the alum and it gets the surface nice and clean.
