    IM CRYING RIGHT NOW!!!

My neighbor on his 750 restoration had the same issue. It ended up being the valve that is attached to each float in each carb wasn't closing completely and prevented starting. He gently cleaned each orifice with a small dental tool and that did the trick. On his though as well he was getting...

WTB 1974 RD350 Right Side Cover In Good Condition

Like everyone else it seems in the known Universe I would like to replace my faded right side cover. If not I guess I am going to go the auto body painter route and try to get it color matched as much as possible. Thanks!!

RD350 doesn't like to pull much past 5-6K

Ok big update here. Been riding it after having all the fluids changed, carb bowls put back on the right carbs (they were reversed and the choke was not working because of this) and an overall timing tune up new plugs etc. Since I have bought it I have put just 100 miles on it and today after...

RD350 doesn't like to pull much past 5-6K

I think I am going to have to dive in a look since I really hope that's what it is. It feels like jetting to me but I haven't owned one since the late 70's.

RD350 doesn't like to pull much past 5-6K

A little history, just recently purchased a couple of weeks back, it has had the following done to it last week: Compression is 140 in each cylinder. Timing and a general overall tune up done including oil pump adjustment, carb sync, carb jets checked and cleaned (Mechanic said he thought the...

Best way to remove old clear coat on fork tubes

Searched for some suggestions but didn't see any. 74 RD350, I have looked into clear coat removers, and wet sanding to remove the clear coat off the front forks and buff out the aluminum, have had some luck with a dremel and a drill with a buffing pad and compound but it's been slow going that...

To keep or not to keep auto injection

Thanks for the replies all. I was told the crank seals were done about 500 miles ago along with the one over weisco rebuild. Hopefully that much is good to go. Major service being done on next Monday along with a safety inspection.

To keep or not to keep auto injection

I guess I am concerned that the oil injection failure on an older 74 RD350 . Do most people just keep the autolube or do most people go the premix route in the tank and if so is it that big of a deal to accomplish. On a bike this old it just makes me nervous that if the pump fails a seizure is...

Just picked this up this weekend 1974 RD350

I think it looks that way in the picture but it actually is ok. Needs a cleaning and lube but isn't stretched at all, no kinks both front and rear sprocket are perfect shape.

Just picked this up this weekend 1974 RD350

Yes it actually runs great. Had new Weisco forged one overs 500 miles ago, new carb manifolds, new petcock, brass swing arm bushings, assorted other replacement parts done (have all the receipts), but to be sure I have a very knowledgable and trustworthy mechanic I am going to have go through it...

Picked up a 1974 RD350 last weekend, what is a good work stand recommended?

Hello all, new to the forums, another member told me about so here I am. Was curious what people were using for work stands on RDs or any that would be recommended for that matter. Hopefully not too pricey. Thanks!
