Suzuki GT250 two stroke puking out the exhaust! =(

Transmission fluid level looked to be pretty good, but I have NO idea how old it is. I should probably change that out pretty soon here. What is recommended to use with these two strokes? I try to buy high grade everything for my motorbikes, so whats the best stuff to get?

Suzuki GT250 two stroke puking out the exhaust! =(

Right on, any modification to performance would be way later, maybe over the winter months or something. Getting it running perfect right now is my main concern. Thats what I've heard is the stock pipes are pretty much your best choice for around town street riding (probably why they came stock)...

Suzuki GT250 two stroke puking out the exhaust! =(

Thanks for the info, it seems the general consensus is that the carbs are just gunked up or bad. I'm gonna tear into them tomorrow, hopefully they won't both need rebuild kits! I planned on getting fresh fluids and plugs for it anyways so I can just swap them out instead of burning the extra...

Suzuki GT250 two stroke puking out the exhaust! =(

Good to know, hopefully it's a common sized petcock. thanks for all the insight man, I know a lot of this stuff is pretty basic knowledge to someone that has been doing this for a while. I've been on sights before where people get really bitchy if you ask a question that has already been asked...

Suzuki GT250 two stroke puking out the exhaust! =(

Yeah I've got the number to a guy that blasts and reseals tanks, I planned on getting a hold of him this week. The petcock on this thing is messed up too, the prime position acts as on, the on position cuts off fuel, and the reserve position doesn't work either as far as I can tell. I'd like to...

Suzuki GT250 two stroke puking out the exhaust! =(

Well I'm glad it's probably nothing worse than I expected! I don't want to take it into a shop unless I really have to, I shouldn't have to many problems cleaning the carbs. The guy I bought it from said the pistons had some slight rust in them and it was seized up when he got it so he had it...

Suzuki GT250 two stroke puking out the exhaust! =(

Just bought this a few weeks ago, she ran like a dream the first two weeks I owned her but it went downhill from there. As the tank got low I heard some junk sliding around in there so I popped the tank off, drained it and took off the petcock to find some rust chips at the bottom. A tiny amount...

    Let's see your riding boots

Not the best picture, but you get the idea. Excuse my drunkenness please :P http://www.stevemadden.com/Item.aspx?id=52650&np=128_421-144_428 A link to the boots page on Steve Maddens website. I'd like to get something more purpose built than just for looks, but I've owned these before I got...

    1976 Suzuki GT250 worth it?

Hmph, I guess the low end will have to do for now =p My buddy who has been riding a bit was saying it sounded like I kept it in gear too long before shifting up but after I got the hang of it I found he was way off. I had to let the rpms build up for the pipes to really start hitting. I think he...

    1976 Suzuki GT250 worth it?

Well guys, I bought it! He wanted 750 to start, then went to 650, I tried 450 and he said the lowest he could go was 550. Well I only have 500 on me so he grabbed it =D I'm literally bouncing around with excitement. My buddy rode it back to his neighborhood and I hopped on as soon as he parked...

    1976 Suzuki GT250 worth it?

I know I've been posting a lot asking questions about bikes, and I was set on getting a 550, but this JUST popped up in my town on CL so I figured I'd go check it out later tonight. Thats the picture he put up. He's asking 650, I'm thinking tops 450. All stock but the cylinders were rusty so he...

Thanks for checking Frank, I appreciate it! Do you know if those repair kits come with a new float? If so I could get by with one of those and keep the original Kiehin, I gotta keep skimming ebay for the right kit though...

    1974 CB125S help please!

I'm pretty sure I read a thread on here saying later model CB125 carbs won't work, perhaps I just need to do some more research! I recently visited Dime City Cycles website, instantly fell in love. Frank, I checked for a rebuild kit and only found one for an 80-85 carb, but perhaps one will pop...

    1974 CB125S help please!

Well from what I've read they upped the engine from 122cc to 124cc at a certian point and put a bigger carb on Supposedly the older ones actually ran better than the newer ones with the bigger engine and carb! But maybe I'm wrong here, hopefully someone who knows a lot about this can chime in...

    1974 CB125S help please!

So I was planning on getting a 550 for my first bike (still plan on getting it) but last night an acquaintance of mine who is into scooters offered me his CB125s in straight trade for my 2001 Yammy Vino 50cc 2t scoot. The vino had slightly bent forks, dangling blinkers, completely trashed leg...

Need advice on my CB dilemma! From Michigan.

I'm not stuck on a Honda, but am pretty partial too them. I believe I did see that kz750, not sure I want to start out on something that big though. I intend to try and talk the guy down between 500 and 600. I just skimmed through every craigslist in Michigan (crazedlist is amazing, try it!) and...

Need advice on my CB dilemma! From Michigan.

http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/model/Honda/honda_cb550_super_sport%2075.htm A ways down they mention high 30s when riding hard, and only low 40s around town. I sure hope to see 45mpg at least with it! Still waiting on the seller to return my email... The other seller didn't answer his phone...
