Sorry, I'll try to be more clear. When the bike dies so do the lights. Was driving last night at 50mph when everything shut off. I pulled over the lights came back on and I kicked the bike over and drove home. This morning I turned the bike on and started it and waited for it to warm up when all...
So last week my friend dropped my bike trying to put it up on the center stand and ever since then it doesn't want to start. Sometime I'll turn my key and the lights will come on and I'll kick it over and then it will power off after a few minutes. Sometimes when I turn the key the power won't...
I have a 1972 CB350 twin. It was running perfect until this morning. Now it's idling a little bit below 1000 RPMS and then eventually it just dies as soon as I go into neutral or stop at a light unless I blip the the throttle. Clueless as to what is happening. Just recently had the carbs...
Thanks for the advice, guys! Unfortunately I ruined the threads of the bolt when removing the nut. I need to replace the bolt. Does anyone know if the bolts from a CB350F will work on a CB350 twin?
I'm look at these...
one of the four nuts on the rear sprocket of my CB350 is seized. When trying to remove it to put on my new sprocket I stripped the nut pretty bad. Anybody have any good ideas on how to removed the stripped nut. I'm thinking about using a dremel to remove it. Anybody else done this?
I'm trying to replace all the old, corroded fuel lines on my lil' CB350. I've replaced the two that go from the petcock to the carbs. Does anyone know if the fuel line that runs underneath the gas tank is the same size diameter as the two from the petcock??
Thanks,
Austin
So I don't know if the kit has changed or not, but mine only came with one of the rod joints (circled in the picture). The other three are something else. Did this happen to anyone else?
I would like to remove the turn signals on my CB350 and was wondering what the best way to do it is. Is it as simple as cutting the wire or do I need to cut and insulate/cap the wire. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
Found the culprit and it was most definitely the petcock. Not only was it left on there was also a tear in one of the vacuum lines causing it to leak like a sieve. Does anyone know where I find replacement vacuum lines? In the picture it's the green line on the right.
So I have a '72 CB350 and yesterday I was cleaning and degreasing the bike. There is a mystery hose that runs down the front, under the engine and then through the swingarm. It was covered in viscous brown sludge. I sprayed the sludge with simple green and the hose literally fell apart. I guess...
OK so I do have a masterlink clips. I pulled the drive chain case and inside everything was covered in a viscous brown goo. I took off the old chain and I'm not sure what to do next. Is it okay to complete blast everything and then regrease (The clutch ball bearing)? If so what kind of grease...
Thanks for the link MotoMadness. I believe I have a rivet chain. I ordered a non o-ring chain/sprocket set off eBay. I haven't started the job yet as I wanted to make sure I could handle it. After reading through the tutorial I'm fairly certain I can handle this. I will probably attempt it tomorrow.
Awesome. Have you noticed any difference in performance with the CL exhaust? Do you think mufflers like these would fit on the CL exhaust?
