Anyone in the London area on DTT? I'm in the city for a week of riding with my son and we would like to mingle and maybe ride with other vintage bike gearheads. Any local hang outs and roads we should check out? I'm here until July 1st but my son is living here. Hit me back!
Obviously building a cafe racer requires shorter control cables. Where do you guys get yours? A dealer here makes them but they suck. I'm in desperate need of a shorter clutch cable for my SR500 project. And help would be appreciated.
First is my new beautiful grand daughter Ivy, courtesy my daughter and son in law!
4 days later, second best is this 1972 Honda CL350 Scrambler also from my daughter and son in law!
Cant wait to spend lots of time with both of them lol.
I am truly blessed.
Merry Christmas to you all!
I'm looking for a set of universal rear sets. There are many on the market but I can't seem to find a set that allows me to mount the rear master cylinder directly above the actuator clevis. I don't want to use a linkage for the brake and in my eyes this should be an option because of it's...
Picked up this 1978 Yamaha SR500 for myself but it's ended up as a future gift for my 21 year old sons graduation. It's turning out so cool I am now looking for another one for myself! lol
Just before loading it up last spring.
The lump is out and now apart, ready for a 540cc piston...
Anyone have a good source for a weld in steel bung and screw on vented gas cap? I've found a few but most are pretty small (1.5 opening) and I'd like something a bit bigger.
I have a set of 1980-81 Yamaha SR500 mag wheels with disc brake rotors, calipers and brackets for sale, or will trade for any suitable WIRE wheels or even hubs for my project SR.
This is a long shot but does anyone have any 87-89 FZR1000 parts laying around? Looking for some front end parts namely an axle and a top triple clamp.
Anyone doing a ride in their area? I'm setting one up where I live. Should be a hoot!

Have any of you guys had any problem with oil pressure sending units going bad? It seems like every time I take a 100 -150 mile ride with sustained speeds of 60-70 mph my sending unit packs it in. It's happened three times in three months.
I'm thinking of adding a gauge as well.
So I'm at the scrap yard a couple of days ago and I spy a lonely abused looking little Honda leaning against a huge pile of scrap steel. Could it be? It sure looks like it, but surely no one would just throw away such a cool little bike!? As I get closer I realize it is what I think it is, a...
My two year old grandson spotted my CB today and just kept saying "on, on" so who was I to argue? As soon as I put him on he grabbed the bars and started making motorcycle noises lol He's never sat on a bike before, but I think he's a natural! :P
I'm sure you've all seen this asked a million times here, but whats the hot set up for an electronic ignition for an early to mid 70s CB550? I have seen mention of good ones and not so good one's but failed to make notes. A little help fellas please and thanks!
Bullshit! :P
Since it's mid winter in in Canada, I obviously can't ride my CB550 or my KZ1000 so I do the next best thing: ice race a KX500!
Heres a few pictures and a couple of GoPro vids I made this winter. (I'm #75 btw, and on the helmet cam footage I have a "dmxs" sticker on my visor) So...
This is the most beautiful Norton race bike I have ever seen. If you are a road racing fan, especially a vintage road racing fan, you'll no doubt know the name Collin Seeley and this build is a tribute to him and his race bikes. Amazing.
