hi,
like the way the colours blend from tank to seat to frame
black rose wrap is nice
what colour is the powdercoat? looks like its got a hint of something in the black from here..
cheers
added some bling to the beemer....
improved starting issues, runs sweeter and has quietened the exhaust down
the old coil was cracked big time
and to replace that it's best to replace the ig control unit too...
on the oldskool suzuki site they seem to rave on about 4 considerations to keep the mighty GSXs' identity
1. front headlight unit
2. tank
3. engine
4. rear light unit.
4a side panels (personal choice)
the rest is fill ya boots territory...
even though that shortened GSX is fantastic and one of the best builds out there with its benelli parts i would like to see it in the flesh cos from some pic angles the shortened part doesnt look quite as nice as the original lay out....in that sideways pic it probably does though...
drooling over that bike as a whole and the fact where i found pic, it was listed as a suzook gs1100/1000...it does seem to be a gpz11 in gsx clothes..and a strippers thong...i like it even more now!!
a matt black gsx with red wheels ticks all my boxes
so i would leave it as is...for fear of detracting from what it is...oldskool muscle
however
busa modern fr and back end with wheels painted candy red would look the biz
or usd forks but keep the wheels...
this gsx is in my pics and is one...
and i agree about the uphill tank..good job levelling it out...
cxman showed me a pic of his cx with the busa forks up front....you two are going to be spending my cash for me without knowing it seeing all this loveliness...lol
here is a gsx1100 tank ive done with Holts rattle cans on another project.....as you can tell im a fan of metallic brown and this has gold specks in it when the sun shines....
i dunno why the big4 dont commit to reproduce and sell some of their past bikes in a retro vintage lineup alongside the new stuff.
all the usual suspects like cx's with modern running gear would sell like hotcakes....and maybe even outsell the new stuff.
the new yam xv looks nice but its...
yes im lookin to do the same and purchase some more sets especially as they're in abundance with Harley owners ditchin their originals for screamin; eagles etc
can you post a pic or link to your bmw please...and cx as well
i have fond memories of my cx and missed out on a free one a while back
hey up again gary...
yeah harley sportster pipes certainly get people staring at the bike as i ride past around town...makes me laugh
and out on the open road im getting continual nods waves and flashes from other bikers irrespective of what machine they are ridin'...which doesnt happen...
Re: Tom's BMW R80. Straight outta Munich, Germany.
just to add, so as not to cause any confusion...
the r6 pegs were swapped for fazer fz1 pegs cos they look more "cafe racer" whereas the r6 ones look like pure sportbike items so therefore out of place..
