    There's also an adjuster in the middle of the pressure plate The go is to slacken the cable adjuster at the handlebars right off then undo the locknut in the centre of the pressure plate and screw in the slot headed screw until the pressure plate starts moving then tighten the locknut back up...

    I just stick a bit of metal rod underneath each slide then open the throttle and adjust the cables till both rods drop at the same time But I do this on my old British bikes , it maybe not so good on a more modern Jap bike Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk

    Some fresh gear oil might help , John My bike had been sitting in a shed for thirty years , after I got it started it would only go up to 2nd Drained the gear oil , the fluid looked like it was a caramel milk shake , it think its because it can soak up water Anyways I filled the gearbox up...
