Just a quick update. I put about 5000 miles on this bike this year. So far so good. The thing has held up to the crap I put to it and it handles pretty well. There are some things that I want to alter a little but overall it's a blast to ride. I would 100% recommend the mikuni carbs for this...

I very well may be wrong too. The swingarm is designed to have have one shock, so side support for it is not necessary. The swingarm pivot is supported by the foot peg bracket at the pivot and above point also. As for the upper shock mounting to the frame, I think there is plenty of surface area...
I contacted murray. He said he doesn't offer anything for the cb400. I am going with speedmotoco. We'll see how they do. I had a few messages with them and they are saying they can do it. I will let you know!

I wanted to put cartridge forks on. I think they look cool and I wanted adjustability. I kicked around the idea of using emulators in the stock forks but for better or worse I like the look of inverted forks. I used Cbr600rr forks, brakes, and front wheel.
