    "Ruby" - 1980 SR250 bobber.

So I mounted the tank finally. did it proper and used rubber mounts, gave it good clearance from the frame. All thats left to do on the tank is weld on bungs for the petcock, or a plate for the stock petcock. I want to use the stock one, but then there will be fuel left over in the other...

    Changing the stock muffler?

I dont know if its the same but on my '85 GS250, the muffler is just clamped on, if there is a clamp, try undoing it, and the muffler mounts and seeing if it comes off. be careful tho, mine was quite rusty, I used a shit load of WD40 but when i pulled it off it tore the pipe apart.

First time biker's project cb360t looking to bob it

converting to a hardtail is a pretty major thing to do... especially safely, if done wrong it can be potentially fatal. for a first hardtail project you are much better off finding a frame you can get a proper bolt on kit for, or a frame you are able to send off to a proper bike builder, and...

any experience with China clip-on bars?

Hi Guys, I recently just bought a pair of clip ons, and am a little concerned about potential safety of them. the bars in question are here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251188552778 though the machining quality is quite good, and the ad claims they are 7075 T6 Alloy, I have doubts whether that is...

    "Ruby" - 1980 SR250 bobber.

started to play around with bars / levers... got some clip ons and some brass levers from India. theres a bit of an issue with clearance from the factory switch and throttle housings. so some modification will be required to get them to play well together. or maybe even a different set of...

    "Ruby" - 1980 SR250 bobber.

Bobbed_out, theres a pic on the first page, ill snap another soon once I've mounted it properly. DesmoBro, TIGs are real cheap now, I bought a cheapish China TIG with local warranty and was really happy with the performance. Did a full roll cage in my drift car. Loved it so much I bought a...

    "Ruby" - 1980 SR250 bobber.

Thanks. So I continued to work on the tank today, trimmed the tunnel. in progress patching the holes.. just cut some steel out to fit the holes, welded it up then smoothed it out... should hold up but ill pressure test it none the less, might put another layer of weld on it and smooth it...
