    77 Yamaha rd200 voltage regulator/starter solenoid thing

Sorry I don't have the bike anymore, but since I do have a bunch of RD stuff lying around in boxes, if you have a picture of the bad one, post it and I can look through my parts bins to see if I have one.

DECEMBER 2010 BIKE OF THE MONTH - VOTING!

Ok I guess I'm confused, because this is SUPPOSED to be a CAFE RACER website. Not a Bobber site. And THIS IS NO CAFE RACER:

Hi Everyone. Just finished up my 350F cafe.

Wow, definitely the nicest CB350Four I've ever seen. It's funny, normally I don't even like frames that aren't either nickel plated, silver or black, because they often appear kind of garish, but yours just works. Very classy HOT looking bike, you did one hell of a job. Props indeed!

Back in Service - '75 RD350 Mild Cafe

Hi Lee! I'd like to thank you again for that bracket. You know, I kind of need another 'cause I didn't quite even the instrument mounting holes vertically...it doesn't look real bad, just off barely enough to be a bit irritated at myself. I don't remember exactly where your shop is, but I...

Back in Service - '75 RD350 Mild Cafe

Thanks guys! LOL Darmstro....suffice to say I'm very attached to the guy in the RD60 pic. Besides, I'm probably one of the oldest here (51) and I'll be charitable to myself and say I'm a long way from my Soccer-playing days, or from fitting into a bikini ... :'( I fell in love with RD350s...

You got it! Here's a close up of the side covers. The decal is home made. I'm quite sure, since you know the song, that you know this picture well: Here's the tail light of that bike:

Back in Service - '75 RD350 Mild Cafe

Well, those aren't actually drag bars, which tend to be very straight w/o the back bend nor the height difference. But they sure feel good on this bike. In the first pic my '03 Z1000 Kawi is in the foreground. It's now wearing CR80 Pro Tapers. I wanted wider bars for it. This pic was taken...

    CB750 Finished!

Nice job, very clean and slick-looking bike. Sounds great too! Kudos on the exhaust, especially the homemade bits.

Back in Service - '75 RD350 Mild Cafe

Well some may disagree with having streetfighter, dirt bike style bars on a Cafe Bike, but they are perfect for this bike, a set of '03 Z1000 bars, and since you can't really see 'em in the latest pic of the bike, I'll attached another. I really like the seat/foam combo that HVC Cycle makes for...

    My cafe in progress

+1 wholeheartedly.....this is exactly what I love about sites like this, seeing people taking something that isn't "the usual suspect" and making it into an uber-cool Cafe. I'm an big fan of 2 strokes (own 9) and have a particular fondness for small ones. I have two projects waiting, a '72...

    ducati 250

F'N SWWWEEEEEEEET!!! hmm, but about that front hub.....I'd probably like it better as plain polished metal. But then it's not my bike. Damn nice MC eye candy. 8) I bet it handles pretty good too, as light as it must be. What's the approximate top speed?

    Introducing.. Helen!!...

Welcome Helen, I'm pretty new here too...my intro is "Hello from Vancouver USA" (or something like that). Can you put up a better pic of your bike, say from the side (or can someone point me to a thread about it?). I'm under the impression someone here built it for her, a S/O or BF...

    Cops hassle me over helmet

Well I have to disagree with you on this. My Ex Husband was wearing a "pudding bowl" or what we call "Tupperware" which had absolutely no foam of any kind, a non-DOT approved shell only. A car came into his lane on SR14 in WA., and being a highly experienced Ex Desert Racer, I guess he felt it...

    Pacific Northwest ton up terrors

I believe this info is still current. If you cannot obtain a signed release of interest form from the person who was last titled owner, but have a bill of sale, you can provisionally register it in your name, BUT you have to wait 3 years to get the title actually issue in your name. The 3 year...

    clubman bars

I have a set that came off my '75 RD350. I prefer superbike style bars on my bikes, so I put the stock bars from my Z1000 on the RD. I couldn't remember exactly where they were but yesterday I cleaned out one corner of my garage and found them. You can have 'em for $10 + whatever shipping...

I'm sure I'll be hated for thinking about doing this... Yammy RD250.

The RD400 is slightly bigger than the 250/350 (which I believe both have identical dimensions). The RD400 tank & seat a just a bit bigger/longer, and although you can interchange engine cases on any of the three frames, the engine is positioned slightly more forward on the 400 to preclude the...

    77 Yamaha rd200 voltage regulator/starter solenoid thing

Can you post a pic of the exact piece(s) you need? I have lots of misc. RD stuff including a rusty RD200 and some misc. RD200 parts scattered about. BTW are you SURE it's titled as a '77? If it's a US model they didn't have 'em past '76, of that I'm fairly certain. All the smaller RDs were...

Howdy from Tx, suggest a bike for me

If you're just starting out learning to work on bikes, make it easy on yourself, not having to deal with valves and such, and get a 2 stroke. The above example RD350 (it has '75 bodywork on it, chances are they saw date of manufacture 1974 on the vin plate so they thought it was a '74) is...

    Hello from Vancouver USA

Dcmspikes: If you know of a complete RD400 for only a few hundred $$$ JUMP ON IT, running or not. On the west coast, at least, you can't find a thing any more that isn't at least lower 4 figures. To the other Vancouver folks, I live near the Fred Meyer's at 4th Plain & Grand that closed...

My Cl project. ***UPDATE*** Seat's done

Re: My Cl project. not total cafe but lemme know what you think Nice color on that bike. I like the high pipes too. I think the suggestion about shortening the headlight ears is a good one too. About the seat pan, that's what I did when I wanted a custom Cafe seat for my '79 KZ650. I made...
