UPDATE #3 Finished painting first batch of cleaned parts today. Did the engine swap last night to convert back to original (the Triumph came with the BSA engine in it) but ran into a snag. Clutch push rod bushing blew out. Anybody had this?

Okay cool. I'll check the push rod and vent tonight. I know I have a rubber hose running from that vent down behind the engine like an oil drain. Is that hose a must have? Is RTV just liquid gasket? I've been using Hondabond on my cases. Will that work?

Clutch push rod bushing blew out. Anybody had this?

My CB350 started literally shooting oil out yesterday. I checked under the sprocket cover and the plastic/rubber bushing that the clutch push rod goes though had pushed out. Anybody had this happen? I'm thinking high oil pressure maybe? My plan is to just liquid gasket it back in there. Hopin'...

Cool luggage rack solutions for a CB350

Anybody have any photos or links to bikes/builds with a luggage rack / sissy bar that doesn't look like junk? I'd like to have one that follows a similar line to the bottom of the seat and lose the vertical bar that was once a back rest. Inspiration or how to's welcome.

Good spot to buy a battery?

Anybody have any leads on where to get an inexpensive battery? I'm looking to replace mine with a 12v sealed battery and feel like there has to be a cheaper alternative to NAPA's $109.99 offer. Any ideas? Thanks, Pat

    CB350 charging system issue

I just put a new stator in my cb350 as well as doing the radio shack bridge rectifier mod. So both of those have been replaced. I have been told that with a good charging system I should able to unhook my battery while running and the bike will stay running. This isn't happening. It dies after...

    CB350 Headlight Toggle

I'd like to put a toggle switch in controlling my headlight so that the low beam is constantly on and when the toggle is switched up both the high and low beams are on. What type of toggle do I need for this? Obviously a 2 position but with how many terminals? Thanks in advance, Pat

Help, stranded at cottage with messed up clutch.

pj - the adjustment screw on the clutch cover? It is possible it's to tight. I will try stopping right as it starts to resist. The oil I'm using is Castro 10w40 motorcycle oil. Would a it be wise to try a thinner oil in hopes it doesn't make them stick?

Help, stranded at cottage with messed up clutch.

Let me make sure I'm adjusting properly. Loosen cable at bars and clutch cover, loosen locknut and turn counter clockwise until resistance then back off 1/4, tighten lock nut and tighten up the cable slack at cover then fine adjustment at bars. Right? I'm using Castrol 10w40 motorcycle oil...

Help, stranded at cottage with messed up clutch.

I have a CB350 with brand new oil and recently rebuilt engine. When I kickstart it it isn't even spinning the motor. I have to bump start it and then ride it for a bit until the clutch starts to catch. At first I have very little power as if the clutch is "dragging" (not sure of the terms as of...

Can low oil level wear out clutch plates?

I am using Motomaster Formula 1 10w40 and just found liner notes saying it is not suitable for a wet clutch and will cause a wet clutch to slip. Maybe its a type of oil issue, not an oil level issue?

Can low oil level wear out clutch plates?

I rode my bike not realizing how low on oil it was and now my kickstart wont engage the engine. I can bump start it fine but the kick is just sliding. Does this sound right? Thanks in advance for the help.

    Will this pass safety?

I live in Georgetown and the shop I'm taking it to is in Brampton. I'm not sure how old the tire is actually, it came on the bike and the previous owner never mentioned it. The front tire is new the rest of the bike is in good shape. I've replaced all the cables and cleaned all the wiring. All...
