    Pulling Cylinders

Thats a no on the pins. The rods can be split on the shaft, which is good. Gonna check the bearings and the case for moisture damage. New cylinders and pistons on the way. Judging by the rust and wasp nest in the cylinders a simple over bore would not have done the trick. Thanks for the...

    Pulling Cylinders

Pulling the cylinder off A CB750K. Got the bike off a dude for peanuts, he took the plugs out and water found its way into the cylinders. These things were pretty bad off which is a shame. The rest of the bike is great shape... My problem is the rust and the pistons binding when I try and lift...

    750 Super Sport carbs

Got a carb question after reading the great thread that MidCoast posted. Here is the skinny, just got a hold of some 750's. Working on the 750F SuperSport first, the other is a K. Both of the bikes are 78's. The engine will run with the choke fully out/closed. When pushed in/open the engine...

    When good pistons go bad

Gotcha PJ. Spoke with a good buddy today who also said the same. Try and keep it within factory overbore. He also said, those preformance pistons would yeild little results. May not be worth the extra buck, would you agree. Bore-tech.com does have alot to offer, thanks Kanticoy.

    When good pistons go bad

Agreed, if Im sourcing out the machine work. Don't see why the price would change for a larger overbore. Never had to buy a piston any suggestions on manufacturers.

    When good pistons go bad

Yep, new pistons and rings for sure. The head, I think it could be cleaned up. As far as what caused it?... Would parts be available(pistons)from a Honda dealer. Already found the gasket set.
