That's a little much isn't it? There is a threshold of performance when it comes to increasing tire AND wheel/rim width. To Ringo's point, performance significantly declines when one item (tire) is increase and the other component is not (rim). That aspect ratio between the two items needs to...

Ringo, can you talk to the implications of rim width and tire height? I'm interested in "incrementally" increasing the contact patch as well.

Yikes! Well here's what I'm thinking so far. Keep the cb160 casing, bore for larger pistons, mild cam, 5speed from cb175 (if I find one) and port/polish. Use stock valves/springs if possible... And whatever else I can add to make it more "street-friendly". Is that a good start so far? I don't...

I'll be out there this year. I don't think the bike will be ready by then though.
