I've got a 400 front tire (Firestone) and tried to get the stock brace to work... Not even close. Just turning the bars while stationary (not even straddling the wheel) I can see the forks twisting from the weight of that big ass front tire.
I haven't ridden it yet though... still putting...
Got some .50 over pistons in my engine and I will soon be at the point of starting her up and tuning. I'm wondering if the .50 overbore will require re-jetting of the stock carbs?
Also while we're at it... I tossed the old nasty spark plugs that came with the bike. What plugs/sizes do you...
I'm not sure my blown fuse issue was from the faulty ground point after all, but some time with the Dremel gave me a good solid ground now. Now that I think about it, my turn signals I was testing out when the fuse blew were likely hooked up incorrectly because when I flipped the signal switch...
I'm in the process of re-assembling my 71 CL350 from a complete teardown. The frame has been professionally powdercoated. I was stumped when I had all my wiring hooked up as it was before the teardown and popped a fuse when I turned on the ignition then tested the headlight/turn signals. I...
Had the same question while getting together a list of parts to order for my Cl350 build. Jason at DCC answered my question quickly via email and I've now got this (and $900+ of other goodies) on the way...

I'm in the same spot with the same engine. During dis-assembly, I did notice some thin rubber pieces (may be an old o-ring? It looked more like a piece of electrical tape wrapped once or twice around the cylinder bolt but it had some sort of logo on it that seemed to come from in the dowel...
Thanks for the advice. I do plan to do the picture thing... seems like a really good tool.
I've yet to tear into it, but I'm working on getting it running right before taking it apart, as suggested above.
Regarding the really fat tire on the front of the "inspiration" bike above... I...
Hey all,
I just picked up a 71 Honda CL350 from a guy in town that got it running (barely...) and lost interest/time. I had been looking for a scrambler style Honda for almost a year and this one finally showed up just miles from my place so I grabbed it.
It should be said, I'm new to the...
