I kept forgetting.. haha. Yes! I will be back in Richmond in probably a week or two when I feel confident that it will make the 100 mile trip. Hopefully I'll be up there in time for the August Poes meet up! And thanks for the compliment! I did the gold leaf and pin stripe by hand so I'm pretty...

Re: 1972 CB450 cafe-bobber I got my plates and insurance finally!! I took her on her maiden voyage out to some near-beach country roads, only broke down once! It felt so good to finally be riding the machine I tore apart and put back together to my liking after staring at it all day everyday...

Thanks isal! It has definitely been nice being at home and in my dad's awesome garage. Every tool I have needed plus some wisdom here and there from the old man has helped immeasurably. I got all of pieces in place and put back together about a week ago, but found out that one...

Today is my 21st birthday so I figured I'd buy some good beer to make the work go by more smoothly ;) I got the engine out, finished the tank, power-washed the frame and engine and ordered some more parts. Next week is going to be like christmas!

    1972 CB450

The last two days have been full of deconstruction, parts ordering, and painting. Everything connected to the engine except for the chain guard have been taken off (because the screws didn't want to budge and I don't want to deal with it until tomorrow haha). Tomorrow I'm going to pb blast them...

So, I had been sporadically exchanging emails about this bike with the owner since November after I left a note on the bike about how awesome it was and how I would be interested in buying it one day. Then in late April, the money was right and the deal was sealed. Being that I am a poor (even...
