Theres a lot of them on ebay. Heres some for example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-WHITE-OVAL-NUMBER-PLATES-9-x-11-MOTOCROSS-PLASTIC-VINTAGE-KAWASAKI-SUZUKI-KX-/161232186669?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item258a2fed2d&vxp=mtr
I've been thinking of doing a similiar setup for my RD. With a...
Got a TZ seat for my RD. I was originally going to make it myself but decided against it because it would have probably taken me ages and been almost as expensive.
I might make a build thread at some point.
Thanks for the kind comments.
The footpeg is threaded almost all the way trough but I if it were all the way trough it could be a little stronger.
The levers itself were cut with a water jet cutter so it happened in minutes. What I didn't know it leaves quite a harsh finish and isn't all that...
They're finished now apart from maybe some polishing. The progress was very slow due to me only getting to work on them on wednesdays for 3 hours at our university. I also had to learn how to use a lathe and mill etc because I had never machined anything. I kind of jumped head first into this...
So I've been struggling with deciding if I should get my old set of rims to be powdercoated or just buy new ones and a set of spokes from ebay. Chrome on the old ones is cracked and they just are just generally in not so nice state. Haven't asked a quote for powdercoating them but I kinda think...
Didn't mean to come off as disrespectful/diss your advice as it was just the sort of advice I need. Just felt that I should respond as the folding pegs thing was something I had thought about but probably should look into again.
The design itself is nothing fancy. Very simple I'd say and I...
I do have access to a lathe and I am going to knurl them. Just didn't know how to model it in CATIA. Didn't even know what knurling was called in English for that matter. :p
I am not going to "mass produce" them. This should be the only one I make if I don't decide to improve it somehow...
Attached pictures. The numbers are in millimeters so bear with me. Hope you can picture them in your mind and give me some feedback on the design. Especially dimensions. They are for yamaha rd350. I have access to a water jet cutter at my school so they should be fairly easy to produce. Never...
Are there projector lights that include both high and low beam in the same lense? Or do you always have to have 2? I've been thinking about running some small headlight setup for my rd because it has a metal rod sticking from the front of it for a race fairing. Traditional round headlight...
I bought a pile of parts for my yamaha rd that included a set of clip-ons. Now with the bolts tightened up there is still a 1-2mm space between the forks and clip-ons. Is there a way to safely fit bigger clip-ons to smaller forks? I attached a picture if it helps in any way.
