The angle isn't too critical. If you zoom in you can see I have a pretty good angle on my rearset linkage. I will probably drop it one hole when I start fine tuning the bike, but it shifts fine the way it is.

What are you using to plug the frame openings at the rear? I have a couple of cut down black rubber stoppers on mine, but I can't get them to fit as smoothly as I'd like.

Be sure to get the right bolts and rubber grommets in the right places for the diode board. It can fry all the wires from there to the starter if you get it wrong. Don't ask how I know :(
