1977 CB750K + Rick’s Reg/Rec + m-Unit Blue + m-lock

Hello all. First time poster here. I’m currently wiring up the bike mentioned in the subject. I’ve done research online and I’ve found conflicting info. My inquiry:

My reg/rec has 8 wires:

Red
White
Black
Green x2
Yellow x3

I’ve determined:

Red goes to battery +
Green goes to ground
White, green and 3 yellows go to alternator

Can anyone confirm where black goes? I’ve read some people put it into LOCK INPUT while other people put it into one of the AUX OUTPUTs.

Is there a consensus on what’s correct?

LOCK input will work, but I usually use the AUX output so as to avoid extra current running through the main switch. The AUX output may provide a slightly more accurate reading for the voltage regulator as well.
