2 Stroke jetting

Anyone know what type of pilot jet to run in mikuni tm-32 carbs on a 2 stroke? I remember from somewhere that you want to run the type without the bleed holes? unsure...

Look on the SUDCO web site and check the part number. Two stroke or 4, they usually have air bleed holes to improve emulsification/aeration. AFAIK they use a VM22/210 which is the most common type in Mikuni carbs, but check with SUDCO to be sure. That's what mine have and they came off a GT750 Suzuki 2 stroke.

thanks, that's what's in there now, I think the jets are probably nowhere near what I need though :p and there's no way I'm sticking an AFR in the pipe

Why not? We do on two strokes that are radically different than stock configuration. They are little or no use on the open road or under stop start conditions because they are too hard to read safely on the move, but are a place to start from. The bung comes with a block off screw for normal use.

A better solution is dyno time. We jetted a highly tuned RD350 recently and took it to the dyno and it ended up with different jets in each side, and only 1 size different to where we started. That bike had a set of polished stainless pipes from Europe, so there was no way we were going to put a bung in those. So it came down to static running, street run and the dyno to get it spot on.

Yes, oil will destroy the sensor in pretty short order. That's hwy you use it only for initial set up and then remove it. On the dyno, there's a longer tube to the sensor, so it gets less fouled, but our dyno guy has a huge pile of dead Bosch Wide Band sensors and they all came out of HDs. Not our smelly old 2 strokes.
