68 CL350 KO Completed

It's been a long year and quite a learning process, but I am finally finished with this project. New top end rebuild. Fresh paint. Electronic ignition. New coils. New tires. Rewired. Starter removed. Oak and rubberwood seat. Mac 2 into 1 exhaust. Running great, pulling hard, and plugs are a nice grey/brown.

There are only two things I would like to do:

1. Find a set of good 350a carbs. It has 3D carbs on it now, and I'd like to be using the original carbs (although the 3Ds work great with some re-jetting and fine tuning.

2. Find a nice set of side covers. I recently lost my left one while riding. Bummer.

Yeah, I got tired to searching for a seat I liked, so I made one from rubberwood and poplar, stained it, and upholstered it myself. Took some trying to get it right, but I'm pretty happy with the results.

I really like it, and have been looking for a similar seat for a cb350 I'm working on right now. Due to my limited upholstery skills I think I may have to outsource it...can't really find anything I like otherwise either. Well done though!

Update * Back to VM30s. Got tired of trying to keep the stock mixed year carbs working correctly. I'd still love to be completely stock, and this negates a lot of the work I did to get the fuel/air system back to stock, but hey, its not a perfect world. The VM30s worked great before aside from some mid range richness, but I can deal with it.

I might have 69 CL350 side covers. would those work for ya...if I can find em...and if I can dig em out.

I actually dug out 2 covers, the right is very rounded and has vents on it. But the left. is kinda squarish and smooth faced, I think its exactly what you need. i dont have the 350 badge. But its in really good shape...considering age. I will try to post a pic if you are interested. Im thinking about $10 + shipping for both. Let me know if you are interested. Leaving wednesday to hunt weekend...be back monday.
