It's a dyna electronic ignition. They don't make one for a 2 cylinder so I had to buy one for a 4 cylinder and just use half of it. It works pretty well.
Can't remember the pod size. I think I went to k&n's website and they'll spec the right ones.
The dyna electronic ignition is a pretty easy install if you know what you're doing. You gotta run power to it and set the plate in the right spot. Check the Kawasaki Twins website for a bunch on info on it.
I've got a few things that I'm working on. I've removed the forks and lower and rebuilt them. I've removed the tank to install a new petcock and drain the tank. Had some rust in the tank. I have everything to seal the inside, but it's too cold to do it now.
I'd love to paint the tank a candy flake orange but that's going to cost some dough. Currently I've only spent a little over 2k on this build.
Kids asleep and I was able to get some wrenching in down in the lab. Rebuilt the forks, new seals, and lowered them. Wrapped the pipe and threw on some gaiters. New petcock for the tank. More snow is on the way so this bikes not going to see the rode any time soon.
Fabbed up a front fork brace. Used some scrap metal, cutting wheel, grinder and a vise to attempt to put some decent bends in it. Came out pretty decent. I'll paint it when it gets warmer.
I used a 50 pilot jet(bs30/96) and 135 main jet(n100.606 under pilot jet)Got them from Niche cycle. Def a big improvement over the stock 125, 45 pilot.
I dig the bike, I'm not a firestone fan but I saw that the bike came with them. Nice work and looks like a fun ride. I have an 82 that will go a bit more tracker than brat.
Loving the rough look! Definitely a fan of the bare tank!
Has me asking lots of hard questions for my build!!!
BTW do you know where the PO got the rear fender from? or have any idea of where to get a similar one from? I am looking for one very similar to it....

I ended up selling this bike a while back. Fun bike but I wasn't riding it over my 07 Scrambler. The rear fender was a front fender off a 80 KZ750 I had picked up as a parts bike. Cut it some and fit pretty well.
