looks like mikuni carbs and an electronic ignition might be affordable in a couple of months, awesome! haven't bought anything expensive from the U.S.A. for over a year, i've been waiting for something like this to happen.
what about you guys, anything you've got your eye on?

might source some white gold bullion, getting married in the next 18 months or so and all gold here is bought in USD.
bikewise? probably not...

Yeah nothing here - if I was going to get any carbs at all, I'd go Delortos...they're a dream to work with. Or non-CV carbs, at the very least.

Got pretty much all I want ATM, although I'm buying some jets for the GS next week via eBay so the exchange rate will definitely help there.

Cheers - boingk

Might buy some small bits and pieces but already bought the seat and Acewell gauge not long ago at great prices anyway.

Cheers
Steve

Damn, 90% of the us dollar??? you guys are doing something right or we're doing something wrong haha! (wouldn't be the first time)

i think our posties must be working overtime, with all the things i'm buying off the internet atm.

which reminds me, found a $10 motorbike alarm on dealextreme, http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.25272 not sure how well it will work, but for that price, all it has to do is not damage anything, and it's no loss.

We hit parity the other night too! Wonder when it'll stop...

If only there was enough time between now and 27th nov to get it shipped ova... might sneak a few bits in before the deadline...

are you entering the Deus buildoff? i'm going to sydney that saturday, and was thinking of dropping by to check it out, i would love to enter, but ridng a currently unfinished 250cc bike to sydney seems like too big an ask

If you buy stuff through mikesxs.com they always send via USPS "Priority" mail. I usually receive my orders in about a week. I'm actually waiting on my new [cheap] micro speedo for my Deus entry build... Ordered it last Thursday [28th Oct] it left the states on Friday.. should have it by this weekend.. or Monday at most... and most of that XS650 stuff from mikesxs is universal for alot of Jap stuff... I put xs650 swich gear on my last xs250 build.. the wire colours were all screwy.. but with the wiring diagrams for both models.. no probs! ;) and there are guys that have used the same stuff on their CB750's.... but hey... that's custom baby ;D

Ordered a Hotcam's stage one camshaft for my XR600R, and a performance CDI as well. Loving this exchange rate.

From Australia, I've lived in the US for around 5 years. Reading this conversation I realized I can't go back for the hassle and cost of bike parts alone!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, I've got a question.

I'm a yank, but I lived in Adelaide a while back. Long story short I snagged an old La Parisienne fairing off of FleaBay and it is in a mates shed in Adelaide.

I'm trying to see what options I have with shipping. Oz POST is looking at around $400, UPS and DHL are much higher.

ANybody shipping anything to the US that has a little room in the container????

Cheers!

I just got a sweet jacket sent from the States. It's a Power Trip Ronin jacket made out of 1000 denier canvas with CE armor. Best part is that it cost about $90Au delivered!

i'm gonna get a 26mm OKO carb off the 'bay. mikuni copy to go on the little z200, which will hopefully cure all its issues
