"BRAIN fART" Motorcycle Helmet & Tank Art Show

Been Around the Block
So we (Iron Promotions) haven't had an event since last November's "Skate Fast Ride Faster" and we've had this one in the works for a few months now. It's finally time to tell the masses. On Wednesday May 4th we are putting together a motorcycle inspired art show, where local artist will have the opportunity to paint on donated tanks and helmets from companies like Biltwell, Lowbrow, Dime City Cycles and Saint Motor Co. Come out and bid on your favorite tank and/or helmet, grab a free brew, enjoy some live music and watch some live painting go down. The best part is, proceeds made from tank and helmet sales are going to the local Wolfsons Children's Hospital (www.wolfsonchildrens.org). Afterward we'll be riding up to Square One, a local bar across the St Johns River, where STRATA Clothing will be releasing their summer clothing line. Square One will have free PBR flowing from 9-11pm (or dry) and there are always plenty of gorgeous girls.

The gallery will be on display from Wednesday night starting at 5pm until Friday night, however you will only be able to place bids on Wednesday night from 5-9pm. There will be a booth setup where you can place your "silent auction" style bid. After the auction has been finalized on Wednesday night, the remaining tanks and helmets will be for sale online, however prices will increase in comparison to the starting bids from Wednesday.

Local tattoo artist Myra Oh will also have her watercolor "flash" style paintings for sale and she has also agreed to contribute a portion of her sales to the Wolfsons Children's Hospital.

If you have a business and/or company that would like to donate a new/used tank and/or helmet to the cause PLEASE contact us! One thing we take pride in is giving those who contribute the deserved honor and publicity. We can never have enough tanks or helmets, the more we have to auction off, potentially the more money we can raise for the Wolfsons Children's Hospital.

May 4th - Wednesday Night 5-9pm @ The Art Center Co-Op

Jacksonville, FL 32202 (Downtown Jacksonville)

Update:

We have most of the tanks and helmets passed out for paint. This should be an awesome time! A few of the pinstripers that are doing helmets are also going to have some of their panel art on display. Getting all of the small details ironed (no pun) out this week.

Again, thanks to all the sponsors who pulled through! Without them there is NO WAY we could pull this thing off.

So I know I'm talking to myself again, haha but I figured those few who are in the Jacksonville area and have been following this may like an update as to the artist painting these tanks and helmets... so here's a list.

Mike Wilson (Inksmith & Rodgers Tattoo http://www.inksmithtattoo.com)
Chance Isbell (Black Hive Tattoo http://www.blackhivetattoo.com)
Myra Oh (Jacksonville's NEW Diadem Tattoo - Check Facebook)
Jason Harms (Livewire Tattoo - http://www.livewiretattoo.com)
Jeff "Bosco" McManus (Ironclad Tatoo - Check Facebook)
John O'Brian (Burro Bags http://www.burrobags.com)
Leah Fox (Foxy Foliage http://www.foxyfoliage.com)
Jesse Whitaker (Jacksonville Artist)
Jack Mullins (Mullin's Pinstriping)
Mikey (Pinstripin' by Mikey)
and... I may even have a swing at one.

On a side note, Mike Wilson from Inksmith did 1 of my tattoos, 1 of my wife's tattoos and 4 buddies of mine have been inked by him. He's listed as one of the best in FL for a reason! I may not have the bike put back together by this date, but I may just be able to swing by and see some of the local artwork.
