well im a virgin to bikes biuilding bikes and everything to do with bikes, so thought i would dive in and go for it, I will be asking a lot of stupid questions, and will try and use the search as much as possible. seen alot of good work onhere and got a few ideas for mine

picked up a 1978 cb400 and began to clean everything out. hoping to make a "bobber" but nothing crazy for teh first time.

in bikes 3 and 4 i really like what the member on here did, wish i could remember his name, i may ask to use a few ideas.

Nice starting point man!

These little 400s are a blast - Went from this:

Its also a 78, but an automatic.

Oh, and I forgot to add, lowering shocks like you see so often on bikes of this style are much harder to find for the old Hawks because they had clevis to clevis shocks rather than clevis to eye, or eye to eye.

They do exist though!

yeah i followed your build, well i guess not followed but went through it, that is one clean bike.
i hope to find shorter shocks, and shorten the fron p a bit, then pain the rims and frame. gas tank. then figure out what im doing with lights wires and battery

trying to figure out how to go batteryless. reading lots on it'll work on some bikes bbut not on others, i also see that the hawk in 78 only had kickstart, but i have both? i know i will need to put a cap on, i was wondering a 1farad cap from car audio stuff? seems likle it'll work if my bike can do it.
THANKS!!!
Kyle
