FINE. I need some help. Morrow Ohio area/Cincinnati

Bike should start but the wiring on it is boggling my mind, I made the whole wiring harness from scratch and have everything done up front on the bike. I could really use a fresh mind on it because i need this bike running! Have a couple wiring diagrams and plenty of tools. Bikes ready to crank over and start on tuning the carbs once this is done. Hit me up and help me get this thing running, its so close its driving me insane! build thread in the signature, here's a pic for ya anyway!

On the starter solenoid i have 2 wires coming from the positive side,
1 goes to the rectifier
2 goes to the main fuse then to the ignition

the yellow and red wire go to the starter button and theres also a black wiring coming out with that that i can't figure out what its for. So one question is whats it for/do i need it?

Second question is the power wire from the battery to the rectifier shows it connecting with a ground, is this right? Why is it like that? To charge the battery with extra power? Just doesn't look right idk.

Any help would be awesome, I might post this in the electrical section as well for those that aren't near me!

Have you tried bypassing the starter solenoid to see if it'll start by kicking? My starter switch had a short in it so I just bypassed and now Im good to go.

Forgot to up date this! Got a new starter solenoid in her and everything is good to go, should have some fresh pictures in the build thread soon!
