Thanks for all the replies .

I'm using quite large rubber washer around the kick where it meets muffler so the hit is as soft as possible. This is how it was solved with the stock exhaust too, didn't care to figure out something more professional.
 
Very Nice build man. Definitely one of if not the best XS400 I've seen so far.
Do you have a build thread for this or is it over at XS400.com?
