Fall swap meet! Metric Motorbike’s first annual end of season vintage bike and swap meet. Got a winter project? Need a winter project? Want to clear out some of those bins of random bits and pieces? Or maybe you just want to show off your ride. Bring it on down to 235 Presumpscot street in Portland from 10-2 on Saturday October 30th. We’ve got bins of Honda 200, 360, 500, 750 parts. As well as Various, Yamaha and Suzuki parts. Also a couple of semi complete to complete project bikes for sale. In addition there will be several finished projects for sale! And who knows what else will turn up!! What have you got?

This is a free swap, just bring your stuff down and swap or sell it!

I've had great response to the first ad and wanted to pass on what people are asking about; Got a guy looking for GL1100 parts, another guy with some British and chopper parts that will be down. Any body got German stuff? I know a few people that are looking!!

If you think you might make it down for this let me know so I can pass along what might be available!!

OH< I've got a brandy new pair of Mikuni VM 34's that will be available as well!

I'll have the grill going and brand new shop swag for sale!!

Sounds like this will be a cool event (especially for this area of the county) thinking I might ride up sat from Ma, do you have a website so I can check out your shop?

Website coming soon! Would love to have you come up. weather looks chilly but nice. Beers are on me if you make it! check me out on facebook; scott link theres an event posted for it.

DIesel, I am going to talk to the Wife and see if we can maybe make the trip for an overnighter. If the weather is going to be good we can maybe come down early Sat morning and stay till sunday. We'll see it is about a 5 hour ride for us through route 9, which is nice and twisty. Be cool to meet you.

Cheers,

Maritime

Wow!! Super cool if you can make it! Not sure how big its going to be but word is spreading. I've had it on facebook and craigslist and last night a post turned up on that "other" cafe racer forum about it so who knows. Unfortunately I won't be around Saturday night, we are headed out of town after the meet but I will have time for a beer or two or four!!

just thought I'd share this message I got on facebook this morning regarding the meet.

I'm bringing a trailerload of stuff, Triumph tanks, seat, New Mikuni carb setup for Bonneville, Classic Bike magazines, Triumph wheel, Japanese miscellany, A clean and sweet 1971 Yamaha CS3 easy project...and more. Oh the trailer will be for sale too--foldable, two bike chocks and two ramps and NEW spare wheel/tire

Swap meet went well!! a few bikes shifted with not huge crowds. It was fucking freezing! Made a bunch of new friends and I think that the idea of the meet was a huge success. We had two guys ride up from Mass. 40 degree weather!! one of them on a 350 and they were on the highway !tough sobs!!

We will do something in the dead of winter in our huge space and certainly next summer as well!

Thanks to all that participated!!
