This is a great find... if you have ever disconnected your driveshaft you know that reconnecting is a pain in the ass and acheiving the proper torque setting is damn near impossible.

This 3/8" adapter is the best damn thing I've seen for the job... even comes with the conversion to the lbft rating to make up for the extra length

That's a relatively common tool. Ducati's need them to torque the heads for instance.

They're pretty easy to make. I cut the end off a socket, and the end off a combination wrench. Weld the two together and you get this:

If you put the torque wrench at a 90 degree angle from the tool, no correction needs to be made to the torque setting. If it needs to be straight off the torque wrench the math isn't that hard to figure out.
