Hypothetical question

Been Around the Block
Let's say we have a '94 Duc 900ss (not Giada) with a bum electrical system, etc. worth more apart than together. Let's say we also have a '77 KZ650. How hard would it be to graft the suspension (front and rear) onto the Kawa? The Kawa needs new headers, but she's clean (mostly) otherwise.

Discuss.

If it helps- the fork tube on the Duc is 50mm. I know the swinger on the Duc connects to a stressed part of the engine. I know that doesn't mean it can't be on the frme, instead. I know I will have to convert the frame to a monoshock. My welder dude is going to be busy on this frame, anyway...

take apart the Duc and get some measurements. The easiet way to fit the front would be to remove the kz650 stem (you have to grind it out since its welded at the bottom) and press it into the Duc triple. Unless you get really lucky and the OD of the kz stem is the same as the ID of the Ducati stem. As far as the rear its impossible to speculate unless you measure the swingarm.
